WTC Final 2023: Steve Smith namedrops two crucial Indian threat for Australia ahead of Ind vs Aus, summit-clash

Ahead of the World Test Championship Final between India and Australia, former Australian skipper has dropped two major threats for Pat Cummins-led side. Notably, India and Australia will cross swords at The Oval seeking their maiden World Test Championship title, starting from June 7.

While India is playing its second straight WTC Final, Australia is marking their maiden appearance in the marque clash. Meanwhile, prolific top-order batter and former skipper Steve Smith has named dropped two major threats for Australia and admitted that his teammates will have to play really well to tackle these two players.

“Md. Siraj and Md. Shami are the two primary threats in the India attack. They have got a good mix of quality seam bowlers, with Shami and Siraj probably their two main guys,” Smith told ICC.TV at The Oval.

The top-order batter further claimed that the duo has really good skills and the Dukes ball will suit them nicely. Smith also lauded India’s spin attack, featuring R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. “Their spinner bowl well in all conditions. So, I think they have a good attack and we are going to have a play well against them this week,” he concluded.
