With Eyes On Asia Cup, Team India Arrives In Sri Lanka

While the Asia Cup 2023 will kick-start on August 30 with Pakistan versus Sri Lanka, playing the opener at Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan, Team India arrived in Colombo on Wednesday for the Sri Lanka-leg of the tournament.

After missing out to qualify for the summit-clash in the previous edition, Men in Blue will be hoping to put a strong case in the fresh edition. Unlike the 2022 edition, Asia Cup 2023 will take place in the ODI format. 

Meanwhile, footages of Indian players arriving in Colombo have gone viral on social media as many internet users wished the players for the highly-competitive competition. Here’s the video circulating on social media.

Asia Cup: KL Rahul unavailable

The whole squad, barring KL Rahul, has arrived in Sri Lanka.

The wicket-keeper batter is yet to attain full match fitness and will miss out from first two games. He will join the group in later part of the competition.

Asia Cup: Shreyas Iyer completely fit

Indian head coach Rahul Dravid has conirmed that middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is completly fit and he is likley to be part of the squad. Lot of retired cricketers have backed Iyer as perfect No. 4 in the team composition.
