Will not participate in Asian Games till issue is resolved: Sakshi Malik – WATCH

Ace wrestler Sakshi Malik on Saturday said that she and the other protesting wrestlers including Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat would participate in the Asian Games only after their issues get resolved – referring to their dissent with Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Singh.

“We will participate in Asian Games only when all these issues will be resolved. You can’t understand what we are going through mentally each day,” Malik said while talking to reporters on Saturday as quoted by news agency ANI.

Meanwhile, Bajrang Punia has once again warned the Centre by stating that if a chargesheet is not submitted by June 15, ‘bigger protest’ will take place.

“We have told the government that if action is not taken by June 15, then we will give a bigger call for protest and take a decision,” he said.

Notably, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, earlier met with the wrestlers at his official residence and assured them the probe against Brij Bhushan Singh will conclude by June 15, and Delhi Police will a file a chargesheet in the case.
