UP: WhattsApp Group Admin Held For Derogatory Comment On CM Yogi Adityanath

Bhadoi: A WhattsApp group admin has been arrested allegedly after a derogators comment against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath resurfaced on social media.

Kotwal Police Station SHO Ajay Kumar Sethi said a comment against UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had gone viral on social media on August 4.

The man arrested has been identified as Shahbuddin Ansari, while the man who actually posted the message – Muslim Ansari – is still at large.

Police has said that the police had received the complaint in this regard on August 4, via Twitter.  A case against Sahabuddin Ansari and Muslim Andari has been registered under sections of the IPC, IT Act and Criminal Law Amendment Act.

Police has revealed that the name of the WhatsApp group is ‘Nagar Palika Parishad Bhadoi’ – which was almost all the corporators of the Nagar Palika Parishad of Bhadoi and members of the public and it’s purpose was to address the problems faced by the common people.

This was not the official WhatsApp group of the corporators.
