WATCH: Telangana CM Revnath Reddy Calls PM Modi ‘Big Brother’
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “big brother” and emphasized the importance of following the Gujarat model for the development of Telangana.
On Monday, Reddy expressed his willingness to collaborate with the central government and sought PM Modi’s support for the state’s development initiatives.
“PM Modi is like a big brother. CMs can develop their state only with support of big borther. I request his support for Telangana’s development just like Gujarat was developed,” – Telangana Chief Minister Revnath Reddy said.
He highlighted Telangana’s eagerness to contribute to the realization of the Prime Minister’s vision of achieving a five trillion-dollar economy, emphasizing Hyderabad and Telangana’s role in national development while appealing for financial assistance, particularly for the metro rail project.
PM Modi, currently touring Telangana ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, inaugurated over 30 development projects worth more than Rs 56,000 crore in Adilabad.
Addressing a gathering there, he reiterated his commitment to the nation’s progress, declaring, “The country’s 140 crore population is my family.”
Furthermore, PM Modi emphasized the BJP’s dedication to nationwide development, echoing the slogan “abki baar, 400 paar” (this time, crossing 400) in reference to the upcoming elections.
