WATCH: PM Modi Takes Aim At Rahul Gandhi In Motion Of Thanks Debate
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his speech in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, referred to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a “yuvraj” (prince) and said that he was presented as a “start-up” but turned out to be a “non-starter”.
Yuvraj was presented as a start-up, but he turned out to be a non-starter, he neither lifts nor launches. The people of India have seen through the Congress party’s game. They are no longer interested in their false promises.”
Modi made these remarks while replying to the ‘Motion of Thanks’ to the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha.
He said that the Congress party had presented Gandhi as a leader who could take the country forward, but he had failed to live up to expectations.
