WATCH: Ben Stokes-led England Go For Morning Run In Dharamshala Ahead Of IND Vs ENG 5th Test
DHARAMSHALA: England’s cricket team, led by Ben Stokes, enjoyed a refreshing run through the scenic streets of Dharamshala on March 4th. The city will host the fifth and final Test of the series against India, starting on March 7th.
Stokes shared a video on social media, showcasing him and teammates like James Anderson, Zak Crawley, and assistant coach Paul Collingwood running together. Both teams arrived in Dharamshala on March 3rd and are scheduled to have a practice session at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium on March 4th.
Despite India’s series win ending England’s recent success under the “Bazball” aggressive style, coach Brendon McCullum remains optimistic.
He told the UK media, “We’re a better team than 18 months ago, and we’ve got an opportunity in the next 18 months to do some special things.” He emphasizes the team will continue refining their approach, stating, “There’s times in games where we haven’t quite screwed down our method just yet.”
Stokes also addressed recent criticism of “Bazball” lacking ruthlessness in India. He stated during a press conference, “Everyone goes into the game with their best intentions.
When it doesn’t pay off, people say we’re not ruthless. When it does, they say we are. I don’t really understand it.”
