Uniform Civil Code Draft To Be Submitted Today At 11 AM: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami
DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has confirmed that the committee responsible for drafting the Uniform Civil Code will submit their proposal today in Dehradun.
In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Chief Minister Dhami stated, “The committee tasked with preparing the draft for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code will present it today at 11 am in Dehradun. Following the review, we plan to advance towards enacting the Uniform Civil Code in the state by introducing a bill in the upcoming assembly session.”
Emphasizing the significance of this step, he highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat.’
“Today marks a crucial milestone for the people of the state as we strengthen our resolve to realize the vision of ‘Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat’ put forth by the esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji,” he concluded.
