Sohail Khan’s comments on Virat Kohli is immature; an Indian will soon break Shoaib Akhtar’s fastest delivery record: Umran Malik’s father

Umran Malik’s father believes former Pakistan pacer Sohail Khan is being immature when he makes unreasonable comments on Virat Kohli and then on his son.

After ‘’tera baap Test cricket khel raha tha’ comment on Virat Kohli, former Pakistan cricketer Sohail Khan has now underestimated Indian speedster Umran Malik by stating that there is nothing ‘extraordinary’ about his speed, instead claimed that there are ‘many like him in Pakistan.’

“I feel this Umran Malik guy is a good bowler. I have seen 1-2 matches. He runs fast and has kept things in check. But if you think of fast bowlers with speed in excess of over 150-155 kph, I can count on 12-15 players right now who play tape-ball cricket. There are many such players in Pakistan,” Sohail said on The Nadir Ali podcast.

The 25-year-old Indian pacer spearhead constantly bowls at a pace of 150 plus and recently clocked 156 kmph during India vs Sri lanka, white-ball series. In a telephonic chat with The Quotes, Umran Malik’s father, Mr. Abdul Rashid claimed that the Pakistan cricketer sounds really immature when he makes such comments about Virat Kohli and my son.

“Umran is just a kid. He has worked really hard on his skills. His career has just started and players like Sohail Khan must give him good wishes and suggestions to improve, instead of downplaying his abilities by making such ‘iske jaise bahot hain’ comment,” said Mr. Rashid.

Umran’s father further said that India is producing equally great bowlers with sheer pace, and ‘its high time Pakistan should get over of their hangover of being the only producer of fast bowlers.’

“India has always produced great bowlers, right from the start.  Be it Kapil Dev, Venkatesh Prasad, Jawagal Srinath, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Md. Shami. Pakistan players should stop thinking that they are the only producers of fast bowlers,” added Mr. Rashid.

Responding to Sohail Khan’s ‘No human can break Shoaib Akhtar’s record’ comment, Mr. Rashid stated that if the ‘millions of Indians will pray for his son, the record of the fastest delivery in the history of cricket will be named after an Indian cricketer, very soon.’
