Team India To Try Suryakumar Yadav At No. 6: Report
After series of failure while batting at No. 4, Suryakumar Yadav is likely to bat at No. 4 in the third one-day international against West Indies, at Brian Lara Stadium, in Trinidad on August 1.
Notably, Suryakumar Yadav averages only 6 at No. 4 and team management feels the top-seeded T20 batter can unleash his explosive batting style down the order when fewer overs at his disposal. The development has been reported by The Indian Express.
As per report, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar, head coach Rahul Dravid and skipper Rohit Sharma held a long discussion in the Caribbean and they agreed to use Suryakumar Yadav in death overs.
The T20 specialist batted at number 4 in the 1st ODI against West Indies and could only score 19, while in second ODI he batted at number 6 and contributed with just 24 runs.
