T20 World Cup Squad: Mitchell Marsh To Lead Australia, Steve Smith Dropped. Check Full Squad
Mitchell Marsh To Lead Australia: Cricket Australia made a significant announcement on Wednesday, unveiling their squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, with star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh taking on the captaincy role.
In a surprising twist, veteran Steve Smith will be absent from the World Cup for the first time in a decade, despite his pivotal role in Australia’s historic victories in 2015, 2023 (ODI World Cup), and 2021 (T20 World Cup).
Also missing out is Jake Fraser-McGurk, despite his remarkable IPL performance.
