The journey, which started in South Africa in 2008 with India clinching the inaugural edition, has now reached Australia as the host and defending champions will get a golden opportunity to defend the title in front of a home crowd on November 13, 2022, at Melbourne Cricket Stadium.
The month-long ICC tournament featuring 16 teams will kick start on October 16 at Simonds Stadium in Geelong, with Sri Lanka taking on Namibia.
