Sunny Deol Reveals How Bollywood Turned It’s Back When Gadar Released In 2001

Sunny Deol is expecting to get similar response from the audience to Gadar 2 as the first edition received in 2001.  Based on India’s independence, Gadar (2001 edition) was touted to be one of the biggest block busters in the history of the Indian cinema and regarded as a cult till date.

However,  the actor recently revealed how everyone in Bollywood turned its back when Gadar was about to release and showed no confidence in the movie, also featuring Ameesha Patel.

During his recent appearance at The Kapil Sharma show to promote his film, Sunny Deol was asked to share his emotions around the film’s release.

‘There is excitement but also nervousness. When the film had released then, everyone in the industry…(gestured thumbs down). But the way the audience pulled it up, everyone just changed,” Sunny Deol said.

While his revelation left Archana Puran Singh completely shocked, studio audience came out in support by applauding the senior Indian actor.
