SATAYUSHI UTSAV: Inner Wheel Celebrates 100th Anniversary In Lucknow
LUCKNOW: Inner Wheel, the world’s largest voluntary women’s organization boasting a membership of over a lakh across 102 countries, celebrated its historic 100th anniversary.
In a grand commemoration of this significant milestone, the Inner Wheel Club of Lucknow Prerna orchestrated the splendid SATAYUSHI UTSAV on December 19 and December 20 at Hotel Regnant in Nirala Nagar.
The festivities kicked off with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Association Vice President Sunita Jain, setting the stage for an engaging talk show titled “Dil se Dil Tak” and captivating performances by the club members.
Distinguished guests, including District Chairman Sushma Agrawal, District Secretary Madhu Kamani, Host Club President Payal Singh, Program Convenor Past Association Treasurer Archana Agrawal, President Payal Singh, Secretary Shalini Agarwal, Chairman Dr.Priyanka Bhargava, Co-Chairman PP Sonam Sinha, and the esteemed District Chairman Sushma Agrawal, graced the occasion with their presence.
The mesmerizing Shiv Tandav performance by Priyanka Bhargava, Namrata Bhargava, Nivedita Singh, Priyanka Mohan, Ritu Jain, Garima Tripathi, and Ranjani added a cultural dimension to the celebration. The Inner Wheel Club of Lucknow expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests by honoring them with stoles as tokens of appreciation.
On December 20, the Inner Wheel Club of Lucknow inaugurated the IFC building, a commendable initiative to promote the education of 40 children enrolled with Happy School. The club remains committed to ensuring that each child receives the education they deserve, paving the way for a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
As part of their philanthropic endeavors, the club presented sewing machines to women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, empowering them to kickstart their livelihoods and achieve financial independence. This collaborative effort involved all the Inner Wheel clubs of Lucknow, along with the Inner Wheel Clubs of Barabanki.
In addition to celebrating Inner Wheel’s century-long legacy, the event featured a spectacular performance titled “Colours of India.”
This vibrant presentation, dedicated to showcasing the festivals of India, including Holi, Navratri, and Diwali, emphasized the unity of diverse religions and castes under the common banner of being proud Indians. Bharti, Seetu, Preeti, and Jyoti, members of the Inner Wheel Club of Lucknow Prerna, delivered a patriotic performance resonating with the spirit of the occasion.
The event showcased diverse competitions like lamp making, collage showing the Inner Wheel family tree, and other programs like Garba Nritya in which members Sonam Sinha, Shipra Agarwal, Diksha Jain, Shalu Agarwal, Preeti Kumar, Deepika Dua, and Radhika Piplani participated.
The culminating performance ended in a captivating presentation of Padmavat Jauhar by Radhika, Sonam, Deepika, Deeksha, Shalu, Neha, Sweta, Shipra, and Surabhi, earning praise from everyone.
The SATAYUSHI UTSAV concluded on a high note with a heartfelt note of thanks and a captivating dance performance, leaving an indelible mark on the celebration of Inner Wheel’s century-long legacy.
