Apologise At Temple: Salman Khan Receives Fresh Threat From ‘Lawrence Gang’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is once again facing serious threats to his life. A recent message, reportedly from someone claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, warned the actor to either apologize at a Bishnoi community temple or pay ₹5 crore to avoid lethal consequences.

The threat, received by the Mumbai traffic control room, has raised concerns over the actor’s safety amidst ongoing threats from the notorious gangster.

According to reports, the message allegedly conveyed, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our [Bishnoi community] temple and apologise or pay ₹5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active.” While TheQuotes could not independently verify the threat, the police have taken immediate action to strengthen Salman’s security.

Background: Bishnoi’s Vendetta over Blackbuck Poaching

The threats from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang trace back to the infamous blackbuck poaching case, in which Salman Khan was accused in 1998.

While filming Hum Saath-Saath Hain in Rajasthan, the actor allegedly hunted blackbucks, an act that stirred outrage in the Bishnoi community, known for its deep reverence for wildlife. The lengthy legal battle saw Salman arrested, acquitted, convicted, and released on bail multiple times over 26 years, with the actor even discussing his experiences in public interviews.

Bishnoi’s animosity reportedly stems from this case, fueling continued threats to the Bollywood star. Salman’s security has already been heightened due to these ongoing risks.

Earlier this year, the actor’s residence was targeted, and police intensified his protection following the murder of his friend, political leader Baba Siddique, last month.

Following the recent threat, Mumbai Police have once again bolstered Salman’s security arrangements, aiming to ensure the actor’s safety amid escalating concerns. Authorities are investigating the origins of the latest message and have initiated actions to track down those responsible.
