Rahul Gandhi Arrives In The US For ‘Strengthening India-US Ties’
Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has begun his three-day visit to the United States, with a focus on enhancing India-US relations.
Arriving in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday, Gandhi was warmly welcomed by Congress workers and Indian diaspora members led by Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress.
Gandhi expressed his anticipation for productive discussions during his visit, stating in a Facebook post, “I eagerly look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and insightful conversations that will further strengthen the bond between our two nations.”
The Congress party also shared a video on social media of his enthusiastic reception at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
During his stay, Gandhi is scheduled to engage with students, academicians, and community members at the University of Texas in Dallas on September 8.
He will then travel to Washington DC for further meetings and interactions on September 9 and 10, which will include a large community gathering and discussions with local technocrats and leaders.
Sam Pitroda emphasized that this visit is being conducted at an “individual level” and not in an official capacity.
