PM Modi To Meditate At Vivekananda Rock Memorial In Kanyakumari Ahead Of LS Poll Results
NEW DELHI: Days before the Lok Sabha election results, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kanniyakumari in Tamil Nadu on May 30. According to reports, he is expected to stay for two days and meditate at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial Hall on May 31, departing on June 1.
“If the Prime Minister decides to meditate on June 1 as well, he will spend a second day at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial before leaving Kanniyakumari,” The Hindu quoted a police source.
Previously, Modi offered prayers at the Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand just days before the counting of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
He meditated in a cave 11,700 feet up in the Himalayas, spending the night in the now-famous Rudra meditation cave, which is a short trek from Kedarnath.
As the poll results are set to be announced on June 4, the BJP and its National Democratic Alliance partners are aiming for over 400 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha. Prime Minister Modi is seeking his third term as the head of the government.
