Good Learning For Players Aspiring To Be Finisher: Ruturaj On Rinku Singh

Dublin: Ruturaj Gaikwad feels there is lot to learn from Rinku Singh when it comes to finishing the game in style.

25-year-old Rinku Singh, in his debut innings, hammered 38-runs off 21 deliveries with the help of 3 6s and 2 4s against Ireland in the 2nd T20Is at The Village, Dublin.

It was Singh’s blitz at The Village that helped Men in Blue to post competitive 185 runs in 20-overs.

Post-match, Ruturaj Gaikwad showered huge praise on Rinku Singh and shared what makes the young finisher standout.

Rinku is always everyone’s favourite in the IPL. The way he has batted in the IPL, he has shown lot of maturity. One of the standout think about him is that he doesn’t attack from ball one. He gives himself time, and always assesses the condition and then starts to take the bowlers,” Ruturaj said after helping India to seal the series with his brilliant 58 (43).

Gaikwad also said that it is a good learning for all the youngsters, who aspire to be a finisher one day for Team India.

It is good learning from all over the upcoming players who want to be finisher. It is always important that you take some time, and you can always covert it up later,” Ruturaj added.

Team India has already sealed the 3-match T20Is series against Ireland by winning the third first two games.

The visitors will eye clean sweep when they will take on Ireland in the final match of the series on August 23 at The Village, Dublin.
