Pakistan Panel Likely To Meet Today To Discuss ICC World Cup 2023 Participation: Report

The stakeholders of the Bilalwal Bhutto-headed committee – appointed by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is likely to meet on Thursday to decide on Pak’s participation in the World Cup in India.

The committee will reportedly discuss the security measures in India during the marquee event and most likely to extend an official request to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for a security check in India.

If permission granted, a Pakistan’s delegation will visit all the venues where Pakistan is set to play it’s matches in the Icc World Cup 2023.

As reported by the Cricbuzz, a high-profile meeting will decide on the World Cup participation. The committee includes Sports Minister Ahsan Mazari, Mryam Aurangzeb, Asad Mahmood, Amin ul Haq, Qamr Zaman Kaira, and Tariq Fatmi – a former diplomat.

BCCI to change dates of ICC World Cup 2023:

While reports have suggested that BCCI has already changed Ind vs Pak to October 14 (earlier October 15), and can change the dates of Pakistan vs Netherlands clash – scheduled on October 12.

BCCI and ICC is likely to announce the update schedule this week with five to six games to get new dates, but venues will remain same.
