ODI World Cup 2023: Rohit Is A Sensible Captain, But Needs Good Team, says Yuvraj Singh

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has said that Rohit Sharma is a good captain, but he needs a good team in order to win the upcoming World Cup 2023, in India.

While speaking to 12^th Khiladi, world-cup winning all-rounder said that ‘MS Dhoni was a good captain too, but he had a good team with experienced players.’

With just two months left for the marquee clash, Team India is grappling with injuries as many talented players are currently at NCA and fighting hard to recover before the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh has said that team has a players with good experience of playing tournament like World Cup, but they also need youngsters.

“Rohit Sharma is a good captain, but you will have to give a good team to him. MS Dhoni was a good captain too, but he had a good team with experienced players,” Yuvraj Singh said.

He further said that Rohit is a very sensible guy and leads the team well under pressure. “You need to give a good team to a sensible captain who is experienced as well,” he added.

While youngsters like Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal have proved their talent ahead of the World Cup, players like Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah are yet to prove their match-fitness.
