Not Counting My Chickens: Rahul Dravid On Playing Pakistan Thrice In Asia Cup 2023 – WATCH
India head coach Rahul Dravid has showed confidence in facing arch-rivals Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023.
Hours after Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah announced the official schedule of the Asia Cup 2023, Rahul Dravid said he is not ‘counting on his chickens too much.’
As per Asia Cup 2023 itinerary, India and Pakistan will lock horns on September 2 in Kandy and if qualifies for the Super-4 then both the teams will play each other twice. But, if by chance both the teams qualify for the final, both the team will play each other thrice.

Commenting on the same, Rahul Dravid on July 29, Thursday said;
“I think the schedule is out, and you have to qualify for the Super-4s to play Pakistan three times. One step at a time, don’t believe in counting my chicken too much. I know we are playing Nepal and Pakistan in the first two games,” he said.

Ready to play them thrice: Rahul Dravid
Adding further, Dravid said that team needs to play good cricket, win games and then see where the tournament goes.
“If we get the opportunity to play them (Pakistan) three times, that’s fantastic,” he concluded.
