CAIT Urges PM Modi To Declare Jan 22 As ‘Ram Rajya Diwas’
NEW DELHI: In a letter to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has requested that January 22 be declared “Ram Rajya Diwas” and a national holiday to honor the consecration of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
CAIT leaders, Shri B.C. Bhartia and Shri Praveen Khandelwal, highlighted the historical significance of this day, symbolizing a prosperous and harmonious period in Bharat’s history under the rule of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram.
“Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram is undoubtedly Bharat’s greatest King under whom the people of Bharat not only became prosperous and healthy but also established a deep sense of belief in religion and brotherhood. That period is revered as one of the greatest periods in Bharat’s Golden Sanatan History and since Shri Ram temple is being inaugurated on 22nd January, the day be considered as establishment of Ram Rajya and therefore declaration it as Ram Rajya Diwas & national holiday will meet the aspirations off the Country” – Mr. Khandelwal said.
Anticipating a boost in trade amounting to Rs 50 thousand crores in January due to the temple’s inauguration, CAIT emphasized the need for recognizing January 22 as a national holiday.
They believe this would resonate with the nation’s aspirations and encourage people to embrace Shri Ram’s principles in their daily lives.
As part of a nationwide campaign, “Har Shahar Ayodhya-Ghar Ghar Ayodhya,” from January 1 to 22, CAIT aims to spread the grandeur of Shri Ram’s consecration across the country.
Initiatives include a shop-to-shop campaign, Diwali celebrations on January 22, telecasts of Ayodhya proceedings, Shri Ram Shobha Yatras, and the distribution of Shri Ram Temple models as gifts. Bhartia and Khandelwal commended PM Modi for restoring the glory of Sanatan Dharma, recognizing him as a great son of Sanatan Bharat.
