‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Advance Bookings: Prabhas Starrer Sells Over 5 Lakh Tickets In Two Days
Advance bookings for the Prabhas-starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ commenced on Sunday, and within two days, the film has already sold over 500,000 tickets, according to latest reports.
The pre-sales figures are robust, with the film grossing Rs. 16.22 crore so far. The Telugu market leads with over 270,000 tickets sold across all versions.
According to a report from trade website sacnilk, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has amassed a gross business of over Rs. 14.5 crore from the Telugu markets alone in just two days.
The Hindi market, although opening bookings slowly, has emerged as the second-largest market for the film, generating around Rs. 1.17 crore in gross business during the same period.
The film boasts a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Data collected indicates screenings at 8,349 shows nationwide, with the IMAX 2D version showing gradual growth in pre-sales.
Prabhas’s popularity in Telugu-speaking states has been exceptional, contributing to record-breaking numbers for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in the southern market.
He remains one of the few Indian actors with four Rs. 100 crore gross openers to his credit: ‘Bahubali 2’, ‘Saaho’, ‘Adipurush’, and ‘Salaar Part I: Ceasefire’ all surpassed Rs. 100 crore in gross earnings.
These films also achieved net collections ranging from Rs. 80-100 crore, with ‘Bahubali 2’ leading at Rs. 121 crore nett.
