IT Graduate Fatima Khan Arrested For Threatening Death To UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
Mumbai: A 24-year-old woman, Fatima Khan, has been arrested in connection with a threatening message directed at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, warning that he would be murdered “like Baba Siddique” if he did not resign within ten days.
The Mumbai Police traced the threat to Khan’s phone number after a death threat was reported to the Mumbai Traffic Police control room. The message, sent via WhatsApp from an unknown number, stated that if Adityanath did not step down in the specified time frame, he would face fatal consequences.
Sources reveal that Khan is highly educated, holding a BSc degree in Information Technology, and has been struggling with mental health issues. She resides in Thane, near Mumbai, with her family, whose business involves timber.
This incident occurs amid a series of death threats received by Mumbai police, including threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who has been warned he would be killed unless a ransom was paid.
Following the shooting outside Khan’s residence earlier this year, police tracked and arrested several individuals connected to these threats, including a vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida. They are currently in transit remand for questioning.
Notably, one of the recent threats referenced Zeeshan Siddique, Bandra MLA and son of the late Baba Siddique, a former minister who was shot dead near his son’s office on October 12. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for Siddique’s murder.
This murder case has raised alarms, especially since Siddique had close ties to Salman Khan, who has received multiple death threats from the Bishnoi gang related to his involvement in a blackbuck hunting case during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain.
Following the shooting incident and ongoing threats, Khan’s security has been significantly increased.
