IPL 2024 Player Auction Set For Dubai On December 19

The 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) player auction is set to take place in Dubai on December 19, marking a significant milestone as it’s the first time the auction will be held overseas.

Franchises participating in the IPL have until November 26 to declare their retained players.

Each franchise will receive a substantial purse of INR 100 crore (approximately USD 12.02 million) to assemble their squads for the upcoming season, an increase of INR 5 crore from the previous edition when it stood at INR 95 crore.

It’s worth noting that the purse allocated to each team will be adjusted on the auction day, taking into account the value of players released by the teams and their unutilized purse from the 2023 season.
