IPL 2023: Check conversation between Kyle Mayers-Virat Kohli before Gautam Gambhir interrupted them

Virat Kohli-Gautam Gambhir saga at Ekana stadium will remain in every Indian cricket fans memory for long time, and the heated exchange of words will go down in the history books of Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, there are more characters attached to this story – Amit Mishra, Naveen ul-Haq, Kyle Mayers, and KL Rahul. 

While Gambhir’s celebration at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru flared Virat at Ekana stadium, the duo were not directly at each other till Gambhir interrupted conversation between Kyle Mayers and Virat Kohli. 

“Mayers was not having a cricketing conversation with Virat Kohli. He just went up to Kohli to ask why he was saying unsavory things for a mere stare from Mayers.

Gambhir interjected and told Kyle Mayers that there was no point on having a discussion and that irked Kohli,” sources told Times of India.

Meanwhile, Mike Heason, RCB’s Director of Cricket said that after the last match at Chinnaswamy, it always felt like we were desperate to get this one. 

“I guess you saw a little of that boil over,” he added.  The Board of Control for Cricket in India has already slapped fine of 100 match fees to Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, while Naveen up-Haq has been charged with 50 percent match fees.
