I Don’t Know Myself: Shreyas Iyer Rubbish Speculations Of Asia Cup Return
Although, Shreyas Iyer’s recent pictures batting in the nets at the National Cricket Academy resurfaced possibilities of his sooner comeback, but the right-handed batter has confessed that he himself does not know of his comeback.
Notably, Iyer is currently struggling with back issue and has missed some crucial contests like IPL 2023, WTC Final 2023 and now most likely Asia Cup 2023.
While speaking at one of the events in Mumbai, Iyer revealed how he is always asked about his comeback by the people waiting outside NCA, Bengaluru.
“When I walk back from training there are people waiting outside, wanting to take pictures. And they all ask, ‘When are you coming back?’ I don’t know myself when I’ll be back,” he said.
KKR captain said. When asked how he maintains his mental balance, Iyer said that meditates, practice mindfulness and spend time with family.
“Family is the strongest support system which you will ever have,” Iyer added.
As reports have hinted that Jasprit Bumrah might make a comeback by Asia Cup 2023, Iyer is being closely watch for the World Cup 2023 and BCCI is hopeful that he will make a strong case for Men in Blue in ICC event.
