How Baba Siddique Ended Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan’s Infamous Feud
On Saturday night, political leader Baba Siddique, 66, was tragically shot by three assailants at his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra, Mumbai. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital and receiving treatment for two bullet wounds, Siddique succumbed to his injuries.
While Baba Siddique was a respected politician and former MLA, known as a people’s leader, his influence extended far beyond politics, especially into Bollywood.
His name became legendary in 2013 when he brokered peace between two of Bollywood’s biggest superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, following a years-long cold war between them.
The Infamous Khan Fallout
The feud between Shah Rukh and Salman began at Salman’s then-girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s birthday party, and Bollywood was split as a result. Producers feared the impact of the conflict on the industry. In this tense atmosphere, Siddique, who had no strong ties to the film world, stepped in as a mediator.

How Baba Siddique Ended the Feud
As the sitting MLA from Bandra West and a renowned host of grand iftaar parties during Eid, Baba Siddique’s gatherings were a staple of Mumbai’s social calendar, attracting Bollywood’s biggest names.
At one such party in 2013, Siddique took a subtle but effective step to bring the two warring Khans together. He seated Shah Rukh Khan next to Salman’s father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan.
What followed became a defining moment in Bollywood history. A video from the party, which has since gone viral, shows Shah Rukh speaking with Salim Khan.
Soon after, Salman approaches the table, and the two superstars greet each other with a nod and a warm hug. Baba Siddique then joins them, asking photographers to capture the moment, symbolizing the end of Bollywood’s biggest feud.
The gesture of peace not only mended relationships between the two actors but also brought relief to the industry, proving Siddique’s influence extended well beyond politics.
