Here’s Why Jackky Bhagnani, Rakul Preet Singh Shifted Wedding From Abroad To India
MUMBAI: Bollywood stars Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are gearing up to exchange vows in February. Their upcoming wedding is anticipated to be a cozy two-day affair, concluding on the 21st of the month.
Initially planning a destination wedding abroad, the couple had meticulously organized the event over nearly six months.
However, they made a significant last-minute decision in mid-December to shift the venue to India, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for prominent families to host their celebratory events within the country.
A close source to the couple disclosed, “Originally, Rakul and Jacky envisioned their wedding in the Middle East. After extensive planning, everything was nearly set. Despite the intricate preparations, they decided to reset everything, including the destination and accommodations, to adhere to the Prime Minister’s suggestion. The couple, driven by their love for the country, embraced the substantial changes wholeheartedly.”
As of now, further details about the wedding remain eagerly anticipated.
Meanwhile, in their professional lives, Rakul has upcoming projects like Indian 2 and Ayalaan, while Jackky is engrossed in the filming of “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
