Anushka Sharma, currently residing in the UK with her family, celebrated a special moment as her son Akaay marked his first Raksha Bandhan alongside his older sister Vamika on August 19.

Anushka, who welcomed Akaay in February this year, shared a glimpse of their heartwarming celebration on Instagram.

In her Instagram story, Anushka posted an adorable picture featuring two handmade car-shaped rakhis—one in green and the other in orange.

Both rakhis, adorned with googly eyes and buttons, perfectly captured the festive spirit. The actress captioned the post with “Happy Raksha Bandhan” and added two pink heart emojis.

Anushka often shares moments from her children’s lives on social media. Earlier this month, on August 8, she posted a sweet picture showing bowls of colorful popsicles and fresh veggies, with a tiny glimpse of Akaay’s hand.

Anushka and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, have been married since 2017 after meeting on the set of an advertisement shoot. They have two children, Vamika, born in January 2021, and Akaay, born in February 2024.

On the work front, Anushka, known for her roles in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, NH10, and Phillauri, was last seen in a lead role in Zero (2018). She made a cameo in the film Qala in 2022 and is gearing up for her upcoming project, Chakda X’press.
