Greta Gerwig’s Barbie Becomes First Solo Female-Directed Film To Cross $1 Billion

In its third weekend only, Greta Gerwig’s critically acclaimed Barbie has amassed $1 B globally and became the first solo female-directed film to achieve this rare feat in the history of cinema.

As reported by Deadline, on Sunday, the international box office of the film was estimated around $1.031 B worldwide.

Notably, Barbie is also the second film of the year, after The Super Mario Bros. Movie to cross $1 Billion mark worldwide.

As per reports, Barbie has also surpassed the lifetime collection of films like Fast X, Guardian of the Galaxy Vol 3, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and others.
