Government Sacks NTA Chief Subodh Kumar Singh Amid NEET And UGC-NET Controversy
NEW DELHI: In a notable development, the central government has dismissed Subodh Kumar Singh, the Chief of the National Testing Agency (NTA), amid allegations of irregularities in the NEET and UGC-NET examinations.
In his place, retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Pradeep Singh Kharola has been appointed as the new Director General of the NTA. The agency is responsible for conducting major exams such as NEET, UGC-NET, CUET, and JEE (Main).
