Rahul Dravid’s tenure as head coach will conclude after the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States. Dravid confirmed earlier that he would not extend his contract, having served as head coach since November 2021.
Gambhir brings a strong resume to the table, having recently mentored the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to their third IPL title.
As for Dravid, he aims to end his tenure on a high note, with Team India striving to secure their first ICC title in 11 years since their 2013 Champions Trophy victory. The Men in Blue have already advanced to the Super 8s after topping the points table in Group A.
