FIR Against Uorfi Javed, Others For Faking Arrest Video – Details Inside

MUMBAI: The Mumbai Police has initiated legal action against social media influencer Uorfi Javed and four others for their involvement in the creation and dissemination of a fake video portraying her arrest.

The video, which quickly went viral, depicts individuals dressed as police officers apprehending Uorfi Javed at a cafe. When questioned about the reason for her arrest, one of the impersonators responds, “Who roams around wearing such a short dress?”

Subsequently, Mumbai’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Krishnakant Upadhyay confirmed that no genuine arrest had taken place.

Later in the day, the Oshiwara Police registered a case against Uorfi and other individuals featured in the video, citing violations of sections 171, 419, 500, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

These sections pertain to fraudulent use of attire or tokens resembling those of a public servant (171), impersonation for fraudulent purposes (419), defamation (500), and collaborative actions with a common intent (34).

Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh filed the complaint, accusing Javed of engaging in such acts both in public places and on social media.
