BSF Personnel Injured In Pakistan Firing Along Jammu Border, Troops On High Alert
A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was injured early Wednesday when Pakistani troops opened fire on Indian positions along the Akhnoor border in Jammu.
The incident, occurring at around 2:35 am, prompted a swift response from the BSF.
The injured soldier is currently receiving medical treatment, while Indian forces remain on high alert, monitoring both the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC).
This comes ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, set to begin on September 18.
Security measures have been ramped up, with additional paramilitary forces deployed and intensified operations along the LoC to prevent infiltration and secure polling locations.
