Breaking: Ex-US Prez Donald Trump Claims To Be Indicted In Classified Documents Case, “Dark Day

Miami: Former United States President Donald Trump has claimed on Thursday that he has been indicted on charges of ‘mishandling of classified documents at his Florida estate’ upon exiting White House.

In his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote;

“I have been summoned to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Thursday. I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States.”

The Associates Press confirmed the development quoting two highly-placed sources familiar with the matter. “Trump had been informed that he had been indicted on seven counts and that prosecutors had contacted lawyer to advise them of the indictment,” source told AP.

“This is indeed a DARK DAY for the United States of America. We are a Country in serious and rapid Decline, but together we will make America Great Again,” Trump wrote.

What led to indictment?

The development has come after a month-long investigation by Special Counsel Jack Smith into whether Trump violated the law by holding onto hundreds of documents marked classified at his Palm Beach property, Mark-a-Lago.

As per Associates Press, prosecutors have claimed that Trump took roughly 300 classified documents to Mar-a-Lago after leaving the White House – including 100 documents recovered from Ex-president’s possession.
