BCCI Gives Approval For Asian Games 2023; Squad Announcement Before July 15

After months of discussion and early resistance, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally given a nod to field a men’s team, including women’s in upcoming Asian Games 2023. 

Notably, Asian Games 2023 begins from September 23 and clash with the ODI World Cup 2023, in India. Meanwhile, the deadline for announcing the squad is July 15.

“Though effective planning, communication and co-ordination, the BCCI eyes to overcome all the challenges successfully and contribute to the national cause by fielding a team in both men’s and women’s category in line with the Government of India’s directions,” InsideSports quoted BCCI official.

Squad: 

Speaking of India’s squad for the Asian Games 2023, most of the players are likely to be World Cup snubs.

While Shikhar Dhawan is most likely to lead the squad, Rinku Singh, Ruturaj Gaikwad are expected to feature.
