Balasore Train Accident, In Visuals || Cry for help, heart-wrenching tales and rigorous rescue operations

A deep wave of sorrow has engulfed the country as nearly 250 have died and over 900 injured in a deadly collision between two passenger trains and a Goods one in Odhisha’s Balasore district, on Friday evening.

Taking to Twitter, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar wrote;

“Heartbreaking to see the visuals from the tragic train accident in Odisha. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. My thoughts and condolences to the families of the affected during this difficult time. Om Shanti.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has cancelled all pan-India programmes schedueld for today to be held on the occassion of the completition of nine years of the central government.

Helpline numbers have been issued by the authorities and over a hundred National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Forcce (SDRF) personnel have been involved in the resuce operations.
