Ayodhya city to have Uniform Colour Code. Check details!

Ayodhya will soon have its own identity as the local administration plans to revamp the temple town’s look by implementing uniform colour coding for various establishments.

According to a report published in the Times of India, Ayodhya Development Authority is finalising the scheme of colours to be used in buildings of different natures.

Ayodhya Development Authority vice-chairman Vishal Singh told TOI that city will have dedicated colour each for commercial, residential, religious and historical buildings.

“The colour of the temples leading to the Ram Janmabhoomi site will be saffron. There will be a uniformity of colour in different buildings and pavements in their vicinity,” Mr. Singh said.

The officer further confirmed that the city would have different types of colour choices for commercials, residential, religious and buildings of archaeological importance.

“We are yet to finalise which shades of colours to be painted in which type of buildings; however, the colour of the temples leading to the Ram Janmabhoomi site will be saffron,” added Mr. Singh.

Citing sources, the report in TOI further informed that all the private buildings – from the Saadatganj area of Faizabad city to the banks of Saryu – will also have the colour of saffron.
