Arvind Kejriwal Walks Out Of Tihar Jail After Being Granted Bail In Excise Policy Case
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail on Friday evening after securing bail in a CBI corruption case related to the excise policy ‘scam’. The bail was granted just hours before his release.
Kejriwal exited the jail premises amid heavy rainfall in Delhi, joined by his wife Sunita Kejriwal and senior AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia, Atishi, Sanjay Singh, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The case, filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has drawn widespread political attention, with the AAP dismissing the allegations as a political vendetta. The investigation centers around alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy.
