Amid ongoing controversy over a song from Sharukh Khan-starrer Pathan movie – where Deepika Padukone was seen in a saffron bikini in one of the shot – which allegedly hurt the ‘Hindu sentiments’ an old picture of Deepika Padukone donning saffron shoes has gone viral on social media.

Ever since the song Besharam Rang was released a section of the society claimed that the song features Padukone in ‘saffron bikini which hurts the Hindu sentiments and triggered massive outrage nationwide.

In a fresh development, Deepika’s old picture has resurfaced on social media where the Bollywood actress can be seen wearing saffron shoes. Check out fresh trolls on Ms. Padukone.

While many blamed the actress for intentionally wearing saffron shoes to take a dig at trolls, reports have confirmed that it’s a picture from 2019 when Ms. Padukone attended Cannes film festival in 2019. Notably, the image was posted on 17 May 2019 and had Cannes 2019 as a hashtag.

Even Vogue India carried the same picture mentioning that it was one of Padukone’s looks while she attended the 72^nd Cannes Film Festival in 2019.
