Air India imposed 30-day ban on man for ‘urinating’ on women onboard NY-Delhi flight

Months after a man was accused of exposing and urinating on a female passenger in a New York-Delhi flight, Tata Group-owned Air India banned the man for 30 days till the investigation is over. “If found guilty, future action will be taken against the accused,” the airline company said.

Notably, the man allegedly exposed himself and urinated on the female passenger in the business class of Air India flight Ai-102, which was traveling from New York to Delhi on November 26.

“The passenger has been banned from flying with Air India for 30 days or till the decision of the internal committee, whichever is earlier. If found guilty, action will be taken against the unruly passenger as per regulatory guidelines, Air India said.

Meanwhile, Air India has claimed that it has constituted an integral committee to probe lapses on part of Air India’s crew and address the deficiencies that delayed quick redressal of the situation.

“We are in regular contact with the aggrieved passenger and her family during the probe and reporting process,” Air India concluded.
