Rahul Gandhi Declares Assets Worth Rs. 20.4 Crore In Nomination Papers – Key Details
KERALA: On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi, the prominent Congress leader and incumbent Member of Parliament representing Wayanad in Kerala, formally submitted his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha seat. Prior to this, he led a massive roadshow that drew enthusiastic support from his followers.
In his nomination documents, Rahul Gandhi disclosed his total assets for the year 2024, valuing them at Rs. 20.4 crore, a notable increase from Rs. 15.28 crore in 2019.
Breaking down his assets, Rahul Gandhi reported movable assets amounting to Rs. 9.25 crore and immovable assets worth Rs. 11.15 crore. Furthermore, he disclosed liabilities totaling Rs. 49.79 lakh.
Notably, Rahul Gandhi holds an M.Phil from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. However, it’s worth mentioning that he has 18 pending FIRs and has been convicted of defamation once.
In the upcoming election, Rahul Gandhi faces competition from CPI candidate Annie Raja, aged 60, a prominent figure within the Communist Party of India.
Raja serves as a member of the party’s National Executive Committee and holds the position of General Secretary of the National Federation of Indian Women. She is married to CPI General Secretary D Raja and is a mother to one daughter.
