LS Polls || Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann To Visit Ram Mandir In Ayodhya Tomorrow
NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accompanied by their families, will embark on a pilgrimage to Ayodhya on Monday.
Their purpose?
To pay respects to Ram Lalla at the newly constructed Ram Mandir.
Why Kejriwal skipped Ram Mandir inauguration?
Last month, Kejriwal clarified his absence from the temple’s grand consecration ceremony, stating he hadn’t received a formal invitation despite initial indications.
“While I received a letter and made follow-up calls, a formal invitation for the ceremony never arrived. However, the organizers explained the limitation of allowing only one representative due to the high volume of VIPs and security concerns” – he said.
He emphasized his intention to visit regardless, prioritizing personal devotion over political protocol.
Kejriwal’s visit comes amidst heightened religious fervor following the temple’s opening, witnessed by millions across India.
This pilgrimage carries potential political undertones as Lok Sabha elections loom closer.
