Veteran Actor Mithun Chakraborty Suffers Brain Stroke, “Fully Conscious”
MUMBAI: Esteemed actor Mithun Chakraborty was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday, February 10, due to chest discomfort.
According to a report by News18, the hospital has provided an update on Chakraborty’s condition. Apparently, he has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) affecting his brain.
As per the official statement from Apollo Hospitals, relayed by News18, it states, “Mr. Mithun Chakraborty (73), an actor honored with the National Award, was brought to the Emergency Department of Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals, Kolkata, at approximately 9:40 am with complaints of weakness in the right upper and lower limbs. Comprehensive laboratory and radiology assessments, including an MRI of the brain, were conducted. He has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) affecting the brain. At present, he is fully conscious, well-oriented, and is on a soft diet.”
Furthermore, the statement mentions that Chakraborty is under the care of multiple specialists. It says, “Mr. Chakraborty is undergoing further evaluation by a team of experts, comprising a neurologist, cardiologist, and gastroenterologist.”
