King Charles Diagnosed With Cancer, Begins Treatment
Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer.
This discovery arose during a recent hospital visit for a benign enlarged prostate.
“While undergoing treatment for the prostate condition, a separate issue emerged,” the Palace statement explained.
“Further tests confirmed the presence of cancer.”
The King has begun a treatment schedule upon doctors’ advice and will temporarily step back from public duties. However, he will continue handling state business and official paperwork as usual.
“We are grateful for his medical team’s prompt intervention,” the statement continued. “The King remains optimistic about his treatment and looks forward to resuming full public service soon.”
He chose to share the news proactively to quell speculation and raise public awareness about cancer.
