Ranbir Kapoor Faces Legal Heat For Hurting Sanatan Sentiments In ‘Viral Video’
MUMBAI: Mumbai advocates Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra have filed a complaint at Ghatkopar police station against Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and his family, accusing them of hurting religious sentiments and disrespecting “Sanatan Dharm” during a Christmas celebration.
The complaint centers on a viral video showing Ranbir Kapoor lighting a cake and saying “Jai Mata Di” while wine is poured on it.
The Kapoor family, including immediate and extended members, was featured in the video during the annual Christmas lunch at Kunal Kapoor’s residence.
The complaint alleges that by using prohibited intoxicants in Hinduism and chanting “Jai Mata Di” during a Christmas celebration, the Kapoor family deliberately outraged religious feelings.
