PM Modi Tops List of Most Popular Global Leaders – Check Who’s Least Popular
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to reign supreme as the world’s most popular leader, according to a recent survey by US-based consultancy firm Morning Consult. With an impressive 76% approval rating, Modi remains firmly at the top of the list for December 2023.
Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador follows closely behind with a 66% approval rating, securing the second spot. Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation, occupies the third position with 58%. Brazil’s Lula da Silva and Australia’s Anthony Albanese round out the top five with 55% and 54% approval ratings, respectively.
Interestingly, US President Joe Biden’s approval rating sits at a considerably lower 37%, placing him in eighth position. This suggests a potential disconnect between Biden’s leadership and public opinion within the United States.
Prime Minister Modi’s low disapproval rating of 18% further emphasizes his strong standing among the Indian population. This contrasts starkly with the highest disapproval rating held by Czech Republic’s Prime Minister Petr Fiala, standing at a significant 58%.
The Morning Consult survey, conducted from November 29 to December 5, 2023, underscores Prime Minister Modi’s continued popularity and leadership within India and on the global stage. His consistently high approval rating serves as a testament to his effective governance and strong connection with the Indian public.
This data also highlights the diverse leadership landscape around the world, with approval ratings varying significantly across different countries and leaders. The ongoing global challenges and regional concerns likely contribute to these fluctuations in public sentiment.
