Ind vs WI: BCCI Release Md. Siraj From ODI Series Due To Soar Ankle; No Replacement

Hours ahead of the 1st ODI against West Indies, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Md. Siraj has been released from the ODI-leg of the tour due to soar ankle.

Md. Siraj has been released from Team India’s ODI squad ahead of the 3-mach series against the West Indies. The right-arm pacer has a sore ankle and as a precautionary measure has been advised rest by the BCCI medical team,” BCCI said in its official statement.

The board also said that the team has not called for any replacement player for the ODI series, starting from July 27.

About Md. Siraj:

The lanky pacer had a decent outing in two-match Test series as he picked seven wickets in two match including five-for in the 2nd innings of the second Test match.
