Apple, Adidas and Acquisition: How three As led to Lionel Messi’s Lucrative Inter Miami Deal

After months of speculations and possible links with Saudi Arabia club Al-Itthad, legend Lionel Messi has confirmed his new move as he is set to join American side Inter Miami.

The development has come after Messi’s PSG contract is coming to an end, and amid keen interests from clubs like Barcelona, lucrative offer from Al-Itthad- Messi decided to be part of the American Major League Soccer’s greatest player acquisition in its history.

The lucrative aspect of the deal:

As per Spain-based Sports, Messi will be offered a portion of the revenue generated by Apple over the course of his contract, which is likely to go over 4 years.

Additionally, Apple TV+ has also announced a four-part docuseries covering Messi’s World Cup journey, uncovering behind-the-scenes look at Argentina’s triumph in Qatar last winter.

The Adidas Angle:

The fresh deal with Adidas includes profit-sharing system to put in place with Messi, letting him earn a cut of whatever profits the German brands earn through the MSL going forward.

One-third Acquisition:

Messi is likely to acquire more than one-third Inter Miami – following the same route as of David Beckham, who joined the league owner during his playing days.
